- I am university student who is fluent in structured c and c++. I plan to
- be starting a project soon and would like to use a visual c++ platform.
- The end product will likely be run on a 16-bit windows platform, but my
- development will be done under windows95. I am not sure whether microsoft
- visual c++ or borland visual c++ is the best platform for me. The project
- I will be working on will have some regular database manipulation as well
- as some GUI and generating reports. I am looking for general ease of use
- and well defined documentation, as it will be my first attempt at any sort
- of object oriented or visual platform.
-
- Also, I looked at microsoft's web site and found an academic price
- of $109(us) for version 4.0. What is the academic price for v4.1?
- I looked at borland's web site and could not find any information
- on pricing. What is the academic price of borland visual c++?
-
- Thanks in advance!
